Aloha!  I first started this blog out of convenience.  Whenever my friends or relatives on the mainland would plan a trip to Maui, they would ask me if I had any suggestions of activities they could do or good places to eat.

My reply would take the form of a long email, facebook message, or text.  I would create a personalized itinerary for them based on their interests, where they were staying on the island, and how long they would be on Maui.

After a while, I wondered if there was an easier way to offer my suggestions without having to write the same things over and over.  Thus, the idea for this blog was born.  I created it to be a place where I can collect my thoughts about this very special island which to me is a sweet foretaste of heaven on earth.

Since I have a particular fondness for Maui, I desire that everyone who comes to these shores will have a wonderful time in this moku paradise.  It is my hope that they return to their homes with hearts filled with the aloha they experienced and with anticipation for their next visit to Maui which can’t come soon enough.
